Our Services
Harezlak Engineering provides full service structural engineering design with a
focus on client services.
Commercial/ Multi-Family
Design for both new commercial buildings and tenant improvement projects. We work with architects and interior designers to determine feasibility of designs and provide design solutions for all types of drop ceilings, equipment gravity support, and seismic bracing.
Our expertise with multi-family structures is in multi-building apartment complexes. We also have experience as sub-consultants for larger podium and mixed-use projects in designing the wood framed super-structure.
Residential Design
The majority of our business consists of both new and existing residential structural design. Types of projects include: new custom homes, remodels to existing structures, site retaining walls, deck and patio structures, seismic retrofits, and anything in between.
We work closely with the design team in preliminary stages to provide structural impacts of various design layouts including: value engineering, reviewing various lateral system options, and feasibility studies for potential additions and remodels to existing structures.
Specialty Structural Engineering
Harezlak Engineering provides structural assessments for potential real estate (home and/or property) purchases as well as post-event assessments following an earthquake or fire. We also thrive in being sub-consultants on larger projects with deferred submittals. Some examples include: stairs, balconies, canopies, mechanical unit connections, special inspections, shop drawing review, and any other unique structural engineering projects!

Harezlak Engineering is a full-service professional engineering firm offering structural engineering services. We specialize in all forms of residential design as well as commercial structures. At Harezlak Engineering we value and appreciate our clients time and schedules by providing first-rate customer service, being highly responsive and flexible based on project timelines, and working with our clients to create efficient solutions. This is what separates our firm from others.
Owner and founder Phil Harezlak is a licensed Professional Engineer in Washington State. Phil is dedicated to creating lasting client relationships. He focuses on high quality customer service, extreme ownership over structural design, no matter size or scope of project, and working alongside the client to provide support throughout the full length of a project.
Outside of engineering, Phil enjoys spending time with his partner Samantha and German Shepherd Viggo, hiking and exploring the Pacific Northwest. Phil is also an avid hockey player and fan, health and fitness enthusiast, and enjoys a good steak.
